Artist: Roger Kastel/Tony Seiniger Agency Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a horizontal tear running from the left border to the feet of the swimmer and another horizontal tear with some tiny paper loss running from below the head of the swimmer across to the right edge of the image. It had an oval-shaped tear in the right border to the right of that tear. It had some smudges and tears around the edges, with some entering the dark blue background. It had three faint scuff marks in the water between the swimmer and the shark, and three more scuff marks to the right of the shark. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and while you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, but I think quite a few collectors would be happy to display this great poster on their wall, because from any reasonable viewing distance, it displays well.
