Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was folded down the middle and it had creases and scuffs on that fold. It had pinholes and tears around the edges, with many of them located in the bottom half of the right 4" of the poster (see our image). Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
