An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) King Cowboy, the 1928 Robert De Lacey silent Northern Africa adventure cowboy western ("SPECTACULAR Triumph of MIX ACTION!"; "Sizzling with Tom Mix punch!";"King of them all! In greatest of all his westerns!"; Tom and his fellow cowboys go to Northern Africa where they are captured by an Arab sheik, and the boss' daughter is put in the sheik's harem, but of course they escape!) starring Tom Mix, Tony (The Wonder Horse!), Sally Blane, Lew Meehan, Barney Furey and Frank Leigh NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: good to very good. The card had a rough horizontal crease across the bottom 2", and it also had creases, scuffs, and some tears around the edges, extending into the image areas. The top 2" of the card had been trimmed off and there were smudges in the dark area at the top of the center of the "M". Someone paperbacked the card, and did restoration to the above defects, and it now displays well. You can see slight signs of the restoration from close up, but from any reasonable viewing distance, they are not very noticeable at all! Learn More about condition grades
