An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). Important Added Info: Note that the last time we auctioned an example of this poster it sold for $675! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a slightly diagonal and somewhat jagged 3" tear at upper right that has been repaired with brown paper tape from the back. There are creases and scuffs along portions of the two horizontal folds and there are some smudges at upper center in blank paper. There is a faint tape stain at upper right and there is tiny separation at the left edge of the top horizontal fold that has been repaired with tape from the back as well. There are a few tiny scuffs. It is otherwise in generally nice condition and it can be displayed as is, or obviously restoration could be performed. Learn More about condition grades
