To be the mistress... And the bride of a gorilla!"; "PRIMITIVE! PASSIONATE! Nothing like it ever before!"; "SHOCKING! A blonde beauty and a savage beast... ALONE in the JUNGLE!"; "Primitive! Passionate! Savage scenes never before unfolded!"; "A monster and a girl alone in a savage jungle!"; "Her clothes torn away screaming in terror"; "Her marriage vows were more than fulfilled!") starring Barbara Payton, Lon Chaney Jr. (billed as "Lon Chaney"), Raymond Burr, Tom Conway, Gisela Werbisek, Paul Cavanagh, Carol Varga, and Steve Calvert (in an uncredited title role as the gorilla). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned two examples of this poster before and the last example sold for $362! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has spotty dot staining scattered in various areas (especially at bottom, but there are dark drip stains in portions of the poster mostly at center). There are a few small tears around the edges, but there is a large tear at upper center that has been repaired with yellowed tape (some of the smaller tears are backed with different tape). There is wear along the upper horizontal fold. After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
