The Canterville Ghost, the 1944 Jules Dassin World War II (WWII) England horror fantasy comedy ("MGM's comedy!"; "It Puts You in the Best of Spirits!"; "Based on 'The Canterville Ghost' by Oscar Wilde"; about some U.S. soldiers that are stationed in an English castle during World War II, and the castle is haunted by the ghost of a cowardly English lord from the 1600s, and he won't be able to rest until a descendant performs an act of bravery, and one of the soldiers is descended from him) starring Charles Laughton (in the title role as Sir Simon de Canterville), Robert Young, Margaret O'Brien ("Star of 'Lost Angel'"; "The darling of 'Lost Angel'"), William Gargan, Reginald Owen, 'Rags' Ragland, Mike Mazurki, and Una O'Connor
