Note that this movie was filmed in 1946, but was held back so as to not interfere with the major delayed 1946 release of "The Outlaw", co-directed by Howard Hawks (although Howard Hughes took all the credit!). It was intended to be Montgomery Clift's first movie, but this delay caused it to be released after "The Search", making it his second movie. Also, Clift and Wayne had very differing political views, and did not take to each other at all, but that likely helped the movie, since their characters were at odds with each other through almost the entire movie. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There is a censor stamp in the lower right edge of the poster above the credits area. There is a small amount of red ink pen writing on the back of the poster that bleeds through to the front at center. There are some pairs of staple holes scattered around the edges of the poster with some tattering and small paper loss in the corners from rough removal.
