An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 28 1/2" x 40" [72 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Careless Talk Got There First, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster encouraging citizens to be aware of security risks, and featuring Ray Prohaska art of an American soldier on a battlefield being shot in the face. Note that this was one of several "hard-hitting" posters with the same theme and same tagline, but with different images of soldiers killed by "loose lips". We have seen two different posters with this exact same title from 1944. This one has great art by Ray Prohaska (and the other has art by Herbert Morton Stoops). Artist: Ray Prohaska Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that we were just consigned a wonderful collection of 59 war posters, most from World War II (which we are auctioning in 59 separate auctions)! Included in this collection are some posters we have never auctioned before, and some we have only auctioned once or twice before (sometimes only many years ago). This is a wonderful opportunity to obtain some or all of these historic posters, many of which have great images!). Condition: very good to fine. There is tiny paper loss at the top crossfold and minor fold and border wear. Otherwise, the poster is in really nice condition, especially considering its age. Learn More about condition grades
