An Original Vintage Theatrical Jumbo Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Going Hollywood, the 1933 Raoul Walsh romantic love triangle movie-making musical ("She fell in love with his voice and followed him to Hollywood!"; about a young man and woman in love, and the man goes to Hollywood and becomes a big star, and finds a new girlfriend, but then his old girlfriend becomes a star also, and they are eventually reunited; the movie is pretty forgotten, but not its title song, which is still sung today!; "She fell in love with his voice...... and followed him to Hollywood!"; "Marion Davies in a dazzling musical romance") starring Marion Davies, Bing Crosby, Fifi D'Orsay, Stuart Erwin, Ned Sparks, and Patsy Kelly (in her first movie!) Important Added Info: Note that we have had the one-sheet from this movie, but it was 24 years ago, and since that time, we have not had a single first release poster, and we have not had a lobby card for 13 years! We have never auctioned this poster before. Also note that this poster can't be rolled and must be sent in a very large flat package. Please bear that expense in mind before placing a bid on this poster. Condition: fair to good. The poster has water staining in the upper left, extending into Davies' face and upper body. It has nail holes around the edges, with paper loss in the bottom left corner. It has some other stains in the borders. Obviously, this incredibly rare poster can be restored, and it is quite likely that much or all of the water staining can be removed through chemical means, so the card will likely not need much paint restoration, and after being restored, it will look fantastic, but bear that expense in mind before placing a bid.
