An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Pauline Frederick (born Pauline Beatrice Libby) was a silent actress from the 1910s to the 1930s. She was born in 1883 and was a major stage star in the very early 1900s and 1910s, including on Broadway. In 1915, she made her first movie, but she was already 32, but her youthful appearance and great stage fame made her a star in Hollywood. She continued acting in movies until the early 1920s, when she returned to New York and appeared on stage again. She was in demand when talking movies started, being an accomplished stage actress, and she appeared in around a dozen sound movies in the late 1920s and 1930s. She had a complicated private life with many husbands, and she passed away in 1938, when she was only 55. Some of her movies include: Bonds of Love, The Paliser Case, and Self Defense Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Pauline Frederick! Also note that this still measures 7 1/4" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Finally, note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. The still was likely neatly trimmed to fit a frame. Learn More about condition grades
