Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 24 1/2" x 37 1/4" [62 x 95 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Someone neatly trimmed all four of the blank borders (blank white paper only) and the poster now measures 24 1/2" x 37 1/4". It had tears, paper loss, and some stains at the bottom crossfold, with tiny paper loss at the other crossfolds. It had some creases and tiny tears on parts of the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There were some pinholes and small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer did not replace the missing parts of the blank borders. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
