A Group of 2 Autographed 3" x 4 1/4" [8 x 11 cm] Cut Album Pages (glued back to back) (Learn More) Alan Ladd was a major leading actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Surprisingly, he appeared in a number of movies before he became a major star with his portrayal as a hired killer in "This Gun For Hire" in 1941. Some of his movies include: Shane, The Carpetbaggers, The Glass Key, The Blue Dahlia, and Two Years Before the Mast. He married much older Sue Carol, who had been a major actress in the 1920s and early 1930s, and who had become an agent. They remained married until he passed away in 1964 AND Barbara Stanwyck (born Ruby Catherine Stevens) was a major female star from the 1920s to the 1980s. She was an immediate hit in sexy "bad girl" parts in the very early 1930s, and in 1931, she was described as "the girl with the Mona Lisa smile". Some of her movies include: Stella Dallas (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Double Indemnity (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Lady Eve, Meet John Doe, Ball Of Fire (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sorry, Wrong Number (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, and scores of others! In her later years, she took a starring role on TV's "The Big Valley", and "The Colbys" (as spin-off of "Dynasty"). She passed away in 1990 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: These cut album pages were each glued to an album page (back to back) and each has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Alan Ladd AND Barbara Stanwyck! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display, but of course, the new owner will have to decide which side to display! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. Both cut album pages were glued to the front and back of a pink album page. A professional or talented amateur could separate them and then each could be framed with a repro, but bear this in mind and also recognize that both cut album pages are rippled (see our images).
