Also included are 7 ad supplements that have one page each) (Learn More) Mickey Mouse is an animated animation cartoon character created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He first appeared in the cartoon short Steamboat Willie which was one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound and the first cartoon to feature a fully post-produced soundtrack. He was massively merchandised in the 1930s, and was a major part of the success of the Walt Disney studio. After his starring role in Fantasia (in the Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence), his popularity waned somewhat, but he remained the mascot of the studio, and has always been central to the studio (for example, Disney had a "Mickey Mouse Club" TV show where the children wore mouse ears). Important Added Info: Note that in 1974, Disney decided to re-release six classic 1930s United Artists Mickey Mouse cartoons to theaters. They created this really nice pressbook, which includes black & white images of the six original one-sheets, plus a separate page for each of the six, giving information about each, plus newspaper ads and other images. Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good to fine, NO CUTS. The supplements are all complete and uncut, and the folder has very slight scuffing around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
