Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Alias a Gentleman, the 1948 Harry Beaumont romantic crime comedy ("Wally's new picture is a WOW!"; about a reformed criminal whose former partner tricks into losing all his money by hiring a girl to pose as his long lost daughter) starring Wallace Beery, Tom Drake, Dorothy Patrick, Gladys George, and Leon Ames. Note that this movie was almost completely faithfully re-made in 2003 as "Matchstick Men", directed by Ridley Scott and starring Nicolas Cage, and yet, at the time, no one mentioned how much that movie owed to this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 3 sections. Condition: very good. Note that this poster was actually used in a movie theater! Therefore it shows some signs of use, caused by being folded and unfolded and by being attached to a wall. If minor condition defects bother you, you probably should not bid on this poster! folds on back of section that was on the outside when the poster was folded have darkened somewhat and have separated in the crossfolds on the edges of that section (this falls in the left side of Beery's chest); there is separation and small paper loss at some crossfolds, more so at the one in Drake's hair; there is masking tape on the back of two of the crossfolds; except for the above defects, the poster is in quite nice condition!
