An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 33 1/2" [70 x 85 cm]) (Learn More)

1812 - Grafin Vandieres (literally translates to "1812 - Countess Vandieres"), the 1923 Josef Berger German silent historical Napoleon Bonaparte Napoleonic Wars melodrama starring Dary Holm, Rudolf Basil, Rolf Pinegger, Jack Mylong-Minz, and Julius Berger. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
Artist: RW
Important Added Info: Note that we have found information online that suggests that this may be a 1929 German movie (obviously about Napoleon Bonaparte), but we have also found information that it could be from as early as the 1910s. However, we can find no definitive evidence either way, nor can we find any cast or crew information about the movie ("Adieu" is likely the Belgian title). As this size of Belgian poster was only created prior to World War II (WWII), it is certainly no later than the 1930s. Please keep this uncertainly in mind should you decide to bid. Note also that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them. Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

UPDATED 03/12/2018: Note that we have updated the Important Added Info section.

Condition: good to very good. There are some tears of varying lengths, areas of paper loss and spots of slight discoloration around the edges and there are a few tears along portions of the center horizontal fold.
