An Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) John Raitt was an actor/singer from the 1950s to the 1990s. He appeared mostly on Broadway, but made a few movies. He is the father of singer Bonnie Raitt. Some of his movies include: Ship Ahoy, Flight Command, and Billy the Kid. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by John Raitt! Our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
