An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Cry Wolf, the 1947 Peter Godfrey romantic murder mystery crime suspense thriller ("The Howl in the Night is the Voice of Danger!"; "beLIEve"; "Two against terror... in a mansion of mystery!!"; "From the Novel by Marjorie Carleton"; about a woman who arrives at the creepy house where her recent husband lived, but he has died, and none of his family members knew of his marriage to her, so they are suspicious of her, and she is suspicious of his creepy uncle!) starring Errol Flynn ("His first mis-step will be his last mistake!"), Barbara Stanwyck ("If she weren't so in love she'd be so afraid!"), Geraldine Brooks (billed as "with that rising young Star Geraldine Brooks"), Richard Basehart, Jerome Cowan, and John Ridgely. Note that Errol Flynn had been a top matinee idol from the mid 1930s to the early 1940s, always playing heroic roles, but his career was in a decline, and he tried to reverse that with this very unusual choice of roles, playing a very unsympathetic character!

Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Also note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the still was printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that it WAS printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So it is an original still from 1947, but it was printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good. There are faint creases in the top border.
