Date Sold 2/14/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Law of the Wild, the 1934 Armand Schaefer & B. Reeves Eason (billed as "Breezy Eason") equine horse German Shepherd canine dog cowboy western adventure serial ("A Mascot super-serial in 12 thrill-inspiring chapters"; "together for the first time"; written by Ford Beebe) starring Rex ("King of the Wild Horses"), Rin Tin Tin Jr. ("The Dog Hero of Young America"; Rex and Rin Tin Tin Jr. are billed as "Together for the first time"), Bob Custer, Ben Turpin, Lucille Browne, and Ernie Adams. Note that legendary cross-eyed silent comedian Ben Turpin made one of his few sound appearances in this western, and he apparently livened it up quite a bit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this glass slide! Note that this is from an incredible collection of 76 glass slides that were recently discovered! Almost all of them are from 1931 to 1933 (with a very few from before and after). We are auctioning them in 76 separate auctions, and then there will be no more from this amazing find (except for a few duplicated ones, which we will auction at a later time). Not only are many wonderful titles included, but many of the slides are in remarkable condition, and quite a few of them do not have any showtimes or days of the week handwritten in the bottom area, and many likely look like they did when they were first sent to the theater! There have been several "finds" of glass slides over the many years we have been auctioning, but this is surely one of the greatest ever and it is a wonderful opportunity to purchase some or many of these extreme rarities! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
