An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) El Paso, the 1949 Lewis R. Foster Texas corruption lawyer legal lynch mob vigilante justice cowboy western ("The Flaming Story Of The Feud-Ridden Frontier Town That Was Known As 'The Coffin-Corner of Texas'!"; "Selected by Photoplay Magazine as the year's outstanding action picture!"; "Based on a story by J. Robert Bren and Gladys Atwater"; an unusual movie that was a B-western wanting to be an A-western, about an Eastern lawyer going to a Western town where he finds a drunken judge who is letting a saloon owner and a corrupt sheriff run a town; the lawyer decides that only vigilante justice can fix the situation, and it is only when the townspeople start to kill all the bad men in a mass lynching that the lawyer comes to his senses and realizes that the law must be served) starring John Payne, Gail Russell, Sterling Hayden, George 'Gabby' Hayes (the #1 "sidekick" of leading B-western cowboy stars, he made 190 movies, and appeared with William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy, John Wayne, Roy Rogers and Randolph Scott, and after movies, he hosted "The Gabby Hayes Show" on television!), Dick Foran, Eduardo Noriega, Henry Hull, Mary Beth Hughes, H.B. Warner, and Bobby Ellis NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had separation and paper loss on some of the crossfolds and creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some foldlines, and some small pen or pencil marks by the letters of the title. There were several pinholes, creases, smudges, and small tears across the top and bottom blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer did not touch up the tiny marks by the title (any confident restorer could easily restore that area without re-backing the poster).
