An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Raoul Walsh's The Man Who Came Back, the 1931 Raoul Walsh San Francisco California/Shanghai drug addiction romantic melodrama (about a woman who is a nightclub singer who becomes a drug addict, and a man who loses all his money and writes bad checks, and both end up in Shanghai in an opium den, and find love together, which allows them to change their lives and get back on the right path!) starring Janet Gaynor, Charles Farrell, Kenneth MacKenna, William Holden (no, not THAT William Holden, but another actor of the same name who made 20 movies between 1920 and 1931, and he died the next year, which was 7 years before the more famous William Holden made his first movie!), and Mary Forbes. Note that both Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell had built their stardom playing exceptionally positive clean cut roles, and both no doubt shocked their fans with their portrayals in this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
