Zanuck; a highly fictionalized biography of Scottish inventor Robert Fulton, who arrived in New York City in 1807 to revolutionize travel between the boroughs by his newly invented steamboat, and everyone thinks he's crazy except for Alice Faye and her boyfriend Fred MacMurray) starring Alice Faye, Fred MacMurray, Richard Greene (as Robert Fulton), Brenda Joyce, Andy Devine, Henry Stephenson, and Fritz Feld. Note that there was a silent version of this movie in 1923 starring Marion Davies, but it had significant plot differences from this 1940 version. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines and borders, with pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that at some point after the poster was backed, it was roughly handled and there are now a few small tears in the top center image background (any restorer could repair that small area without re-backing the poster).
