An Original Vintage Theatrical Color 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic 1937 David Hand Walt Disney animated animation family romantic fairy-tale fantasy musical cartoon ("His first full length feature production"; "In the Marvelous Multiplane Technicolor"; "Behold The Miracle of the Movies! Coming to amaze you, charm you, thrill you!"; "With Eight new songs as catching as 'The Big Bad Wolf.'"; "To thrill you"; "Merriment!"; "Melody!"; "Magic!"; "The dwarfs sing their marching song on the way to work."; "Walt Disney's first full length feature production"; "The show sensation of the generation!"; "Wondrously filmed in all the glories of the marvelous multiplane Technicolor"; "The Screen's Supreme Thrill! 1,000 artists worked three years to give you this once-in-a-lifetime show!... A full hour and a half of the most enthralling entertainment you ever experienced... truly the miracle in motion pictures!") featuring the voices of Adriana Caselotti (in the title role as Snow White), Harry Stockwell (as the Prince), Lucille La Verne, Moroni Olsen, and Stuart Buchanan. Note that this movie is always referred to as a "1937" movie, but it actually only had a limited opening in December 1937 (no doubt to qualify for the Oscars), and then it had its wide opening in February 1938. But because it is always referred to as being from 1937, we refer to it that way as well (and of course, it is technically correct). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there was both a set of 8 8x10 color-glos stills and also a set of 8 11x14 color-glos stills. All of these are extremely rare. We have previously auctioned seven 8x10 color-glos stills (one was a duplicate, and most were in much lesser condition). We have NEVER before auctioned an 11x14 color-glos still from this classic movie. Note that this still is from a special set of "color glos" stills, which means it was printed on a photo type of paper and have a glossier front, with more vivid colors. This is something the studios experimented with in the late 1930s and early 1940s, for both 8x10 stills and 11x14 stills. Condition: good to very good. The still has a 3" tear at lower left that was repaired with tape from the back. It also was attached to a mat, and there are glue stains on the back of each corner, and a tape stain on the back of the bottom border where the tear was. The tape stains on the back of the corners do not show through to the front, and the one on the back of the bottom border has darkened the front. There is a tiny brown stain in the top left blank corner. Other than the above, the still is in really nice condition, and can absolutely be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or certainly, restoration could be performed. Learn More about condition grades
