What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had some tears in the middle horizontal fold in the 3" to the right of the crossfold, with a few tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on the rest of the folds. It had a distributor stamp on the back of the middle left that bled through to the front in the credits area. It had some grease pencil writing on the back of the middle right that slightly bled through to the front. It had a few tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
