Samuel Goldwyn saw her in a German movie, and thought she could become another Garbo or Dietrich, and he signed her to a Hollywood contract, not knowing she could not speak English! After a year of intensive English studying, Goldwyn cast her as the lead in "Nana", but the movie was not very successful, and Goldwyn made two more movies with her, but then gave up, and she only made a handful more movies. Some of her movies include: Devushka s Korobkoy, So Ends Our Night, The Wedding Night, Bomben auf Monte Carlo, and We Live Again. She passed away in 1993 at the age of 84.
