An Original Vintage French Trade Ad (measures 9 1/4" x 12" [23 x 30 cm]; 16 pages) (Learn More) Paramount Pictures 1937-38, the 1937 French trade ad which was sent to French theaters to try to get them to book upcoming Paramount releases. It is printed on a single 23" x 36 3/4" sheet that cleverly folds to create many "pages", and when folded, the outside serves as a cover, and as you unfold it, you learn about the Paramount movies and see a production chart, and when it is completely unfolded, it opens to a 23" x 36 3/4" poster that has images of stars from 15 upcoming Paramount movies, including ones with The Marx Bros, Marlene Dietrich, and many more (see our many images). In addition, there is a great color ad for Popeye, showing him sitting at a desk and being interviewed. This trade ad is surely extremely rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French trade ad! It appears that this trade ad was removed from a French exhibitor magazine, because there are remnants of a binding on the edge of the trade ad. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good.
