The Rookie Cop, the 1939 David Howard canine dog police K-9 German Shepherd crime thriller starring Tim Holt, Ace (billed as "The Wonder Dog"), Virginia Weidler, Janet Shaw, Don Brodie, Robert Emmett Keane, and Frank M. Thomas. Note that Ace the Wonder Dog had his first role in 1938's "Blind Alibi" (playing a seeing eye dog). He appeared in 15 movies stretching over 8 years .
