An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] News Photo (Learn More)

Bob Kane was an American comic book artist and writer from the 1930s to the 1990s. He is the co-creator of the legendary comic book hero, Batman (although he took sole credit for many years, but it eventually came out that not only did others create many of the Batman concepts, but he also drew little or no actual art, so other than the initial idea for Batman, it is not certain how much he ever actually did). He was inducted into both the comic book industry's Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1996. He passed away in 1998 at the age of 83.
Important Added Info: Note that this news photo measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. What is especially ironic about it is that Kane showed the paintings he had with him as being his own work, but actually, he hired someone to be his "ghost painter" so that he could sell paintings during the Batman craze in the mid 1960s (thanks to the TV show starring Adam West)!

Condition: good. There is a 1" L-shaped tear in the top right background, with orange grease pencil in the background to the left of that tear, and more orange grease pencil in the right border below the tear.
