An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Made for Each Other, the 1939 John Cromwell romantic newlywed lawyer legal comedy melodrama ("Dramatic..." "heartbreak...! The heartbreak of two young people in love... facing the world with song in their hearts. Laughter... melodrama... and Carole Lombard in a brilliant transition from comedienne to dramatic star!"; "...A stirring love story to thrill the world!"; "Screen play by Jo Swerling"; "Produced by David O. Selznick"; about a young married couple, and the husband works in a law firm where his boss wanted him to marry his daughter instead, and the trials and tribulations the young couple have, especially after they have a baby with medical problems) starring Carole Lombard, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Charles Coburn, Lucile Watson, Louise Beavers, and Harry Davenport NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. There is a 5" tear in the middle of the top edge of the poster. There is conservation tape on the back of the poster along the right half of the top horizontal fold and along the vertical fold above the top crossfold (there is some foldline separation in that area, but the conservation tape appears to mostly be there for reinforcement purposes). There are some enlarged tack holes and small v-shaped tears in the corners of the poster (repaired with conservation tape from the back and some paint from the front in the top corners). There are scuff marks in the background at right. There is a 2" diagonal crease and scuff mark at upper right in Stewart's hair and there are minor creases, scuffs, and smudges scattered throughout the poster (mostly along the foldlines with some neatly touched up with paint from the front), but they are overall not very noticeable or distracting. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and if one chose to have it restored it would look fantastic, although I'm sure most collectors would be quite happy to own this poster as it is!
