An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Ralph Bellamy was an actor from the 1930s to the 1990s. He had a major triumph playing FDR in Sunrise at Campobello, both on Broadway and in the movie version. He often had the non-glamorous role of the "guy who lost the girl"! Some of his movies include: His Girl Friday, The Awful Truth (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Rosemary's Baby. He made a great "comeback" with Don Ameche in the movie Trading Places. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 87. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Ralph Bellamy! Our consignor was a good friend of Jim Bawden, who, for many years, was the main movie reviewer for the Toronto Daily Star newspaper. Mr. Bawden passed away recently and our consignor purchased these from his estate. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but given that we know that Mr. Bawden became person friends with many celebrities (and the inscription on this photo is personalized to him), we are certain the signature on this photo is authentic (and the same is true of the other photos from this estate we were consigned). Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm]. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
