A Patch of Blue, the 1966 Guy Green interracial romantic melodrama ("A man... a girl... captives in their own worlds... finding escape in each other..."; "Based on 'Be Ready with Bells & Drums' by Elizabeth Kata"; "Written for the screen and directed by Guy Green"; about a black man who starts a relationship with a blind white girl) starring Sidney Poitier, Shelley Winters (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Elizabeth Hartman (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Wallace Ford, and Ivan Dixon

Important Added Info: Note that this French one-panel measures approximately 47" x 63" and is linenbacked.

Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

very good. Poster had small holes at several crossfolds and minor smudges and creases throughout, as well as some tears on some foldlines. The poster is well linenbacked but the person who did so pretty much just mounted the poster and left the minor defects alone. They are not very noticeable or distracting, but I believe a talented restorer could touch them up without rebacking the poster.
