An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36" [36 x 91 cm]) (Learn More) Picture Snatcher, the 1933 Lloyd Bacon romantic photography crime melodrama (about an ex-convict who decides to go straight and become a photographer, but he falls in love with the daughter of the policeman who arrested him, and the cop doesn't like that, and when the photographer uses his girlfriend to get a picture of an execution, the cop is demoted, which makes matters worse) starring James Cagney, Ralph Bellamy, Patricia Ellis (17 years old in her third credited movie role!), Alice White, and Ralf Harolde NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even single movie poster or lobby card (only some stills, and NO other movie paper) from this movie until we received this insert! Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thicker paper backing, it CAN'T be sent rolled (someone could conceivably roll it or try to do so, but we know it would definitely lessen its condition, so we will only send it in a very large flat package, unless the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage). What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster was never folded. It had small paper loss scattered in the top blank border, with small paper loss in the upper blank border and paper loss in the bottom right corner, but solely in the blank white area. It had a few other tiny bits of paper loss in the rest of the borders. It had a small tear in the top border in the left of the woman's hair. It had a few faint dot stains in the girl at right's cheek, and in Cagney's chin. Other than the above, the poster was in nice condition. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was expertly backed by a top professional, and this rare and desirable poster will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall. Learn More about condition grades
