Mein Bestes im Sozialistischen Wettbewerb zum 11. Parteitag der SED (literally translates to "My Best in the Socialist Competition for the 11th Party Convention of the Socialist Unity Party of East Germany"), the 1986 East German political motivational poster featuring Utz Muller art of a worker (with the title in a Q "speech bubble" representing "Quality"). During the 1986 convention, which occurred in April, Michail Gorbachov gave a speech at the Palace of the Republic in Berlin. The Socialist Unity Party of Germany (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands or SED), often known in English as the East German Communist Party, was established in 1946, and was the governing Marxist-Leninist political party of the German Democratic Republic from the country's founding in 1949 until it was dissolved in 1989 due to the effects of the Revolutions of 1989.
