Note that fantasy artist H.R. Giger did the wonderful art that was used to create the alien and the alien planet, but his art was not used on any of the regular posters, only on special prints created after the movie became a hit! Giger Important Added Info: Note that this is a HUGE portfolio that contains five special signed and numbered prints with Hans Rudolf Giger concept art from "Alien". The prints in this portfolio are numbered 20/350 and each is signed by Giger. The portfolio is a typical artist's portfolio, but extremely large (it measures 28" x 41") and has stiff heavy covers and the front cover has the Alien logo printed on it! This portfolio will have to be sent in a very large (and heavy) "one-sheet size" flat package, so bear that in mind before placing a bid on this item. UPDATED 10/19/2010: Note that a knowledgeable collector points out that these concept art prints were originally sold as a set of 6. The portfolio in this auction was consigned to us as a set of 5 (the consignor does not have the 6th print). Please only bid knowing that this auction contains 5 of the 6 pieces. Condition: good to very good. The covers have quite a bit of scuffing and some paper residue on them (they look like they could be somewhat cleaned and their appearance would improve).
