An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Conflict, the 1936 David Howard boxing sports melodrama ("The farmer boy who knocked out the champion - but was K.O.'d by a pretty face!"; "Based on the famous Jack London story 'The Abysmal Brute'"; "Jack London's famous story 'The Abysmal Brute' brought to the screen") starring John Wayne, Ward Bond, Jean Rogers, Tommy Bupp, Bryant Washburn, Frank Sheridan, Harry Wood, Margaret Mann, and Eddie Borden NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good to fine. Poster had minor creases and some tiny tears on some foldlines, and small paper loss at the crossfolds. There were a few small areas of paper loss along the foldlines. It had minor border defects, including pinholes in the corners, and some creases and minor smudges. The poster is well linenbacked, and the minor defects are not noticeable except from inches away.
