Important Added Info: Note that we once previously auctioned the other style one-sheet for this movie (24 years ago, when it sold for $1,265 in "good to very good" condition), but we have NEVER before auctioned this style! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28 1/2" x 41" [72 x 104 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had some creases and tears scattered throughout, with one tear extending into the top of Rogers' hat and one tear extending through O'Sullivan's hair and forehead. It had a few tiny areas of paper loss in the poster, but not in the stars' images, and it had some tears and paper loss in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame. If I owned this incredibly rare poster, I would have it removed from the old linen and have it properly re-backed, but that will be the choice of the new owner. Learn More about condition grades
