Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of the same style C one-sheet (on two separate occasions), so this is only the second example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Also note that Universal hired famed illustrator Alberto Vargas to create an image of Marlene Dietrich for this movie. We have sold a special poster which has that art where it is signed by Vargas, and this poster has that same art, but there is no signature present. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds, with paper loss and tears at the bottom crossfold, extending in the vertical fold into the bottom of Dietrich's arm. There were tears and tiny paper loss in the bottom quarter of the vertical fold. There was a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. There were pinholes around the edges and some smudges scattered in the rest background areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
