An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 13" x 16 3/4" [33 x 43 cm]) (Learn More) The Wedding Night, the 1935 King Vidor romantic arranged marriage love triangle marriage melodrama (from the story by Edwin H. Knopf) starring Gary Cooper, Anna Sten, Ralph Bellamy, Helen Vinson, Sig Ruman (billed as "Siegfried Rumann") and Walter Brennan. Note that Samuel Goldwyn saw Anna Sten in a German movie, and thought she could become another Greta Garbo or Marlene Dietrich, and he signed her to a Hollywood contract, not knowing she could not speak English! After a year of intensive English studying, Goldwyn cast her as the lead in "Nana", but the movie was not very successful, and Goldwyn made two more movies with her (including this one), but then gave up! Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13" x 16 3/4" [33 x 43 cm]. Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. The top blank area and the other three borders were all neatly trimmed off. There are also pinholes and small paper loss in the corners, with some scuffs scattered in the image. Someone put glitter on the title by putting glue within the letters and then sprinkling glitter on it, just like YOU likely did in kindergarten (see our image)! Still, a restorer could certainly rescue this card. But please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
