An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Flying Ace, the 1926 Richard E. Norman silent black African American military World War I (WWI) war airplane aviation pilot romantic mystery adventure thriller ("The Greatest Airplane Thriller Ever Filmed"; "The Greatest Airplane Thriller Ever Produced"; "Six Smashing Reels of Action!"; "Thrills! Action! Punch!"; "Thrills! Love! Laughs! Mystery!"; "Starring a professional cast"; "With an All-Colored Cast") starring Laurence Criner (billed as "Lawrence Criner"; in the title role as Captain Billy Stokes, the Flying Ace), Kathryn Boyd, "supported by" Boise De Legge, Harold Platts, Lions Daniels, George Colvin, Sam Jordan, Dr. R.L. Brown, and Steve Reynolds ("[PEG]") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster has tiny separation at the top two crossfolds with the tiniest of paper loss at the middle crossfold. Someone wrote play dates and information in black crayon in the top and bottom blank borders. There is slight darkening on the back of the vertical foldline between the top and middle crossfold, but it does not affect the front, other than there are a few tiny dots of paper loss in that area. Other than the above, the poster is in really excellent condition! Certainly, any restorer could remove the writing from the top and bottom blank borders, but I could well imagine that many collectors feel that it ADDS to the poster, lending authenticity to it and also kind of a cool addition to the poster!
