If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by Columbia Pictures for use for all chapters of their "Black Arrow" serial. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank square in the bottom left. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific chapters of the serial, and they could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. There were also stock posters from this serial that were overprinted with the names of the specific chapters, for theaters willing to purchase an entire set of them. This particular stock poster has not been overprinted.Note that a knowledgeable collector believes that Glenn Cravath created the art for this item. However, we cannot be 100% certain. If anyone has definitive proof such as signed original art, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some darkening, tears, and tiny bits of paper loss in the vertical fold between the top and bottom crossfolds, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had some paper loss in four places in the blank borders, caused by rough removal of pins, and some pinholes around the edges. The poster was used in a South American country, and a Spanish language title was hand painted in the large blank area. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
