An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded East German Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33") (Learn More) Bullitt, the classic 1968 Peter Yates San Francisco California crime car chase action thriller ("The word 'cop' isn't written all over him - something more puzzling is."; "There are bad cops and there are good cops - and then there's Bullitt."; "Bullitt comes to this theatre soon. That ought to shake up the place pretty good. Not many freaky cops like Bullitt around. You look at the Italian shoes and the turtleneck and you have to wonder. You listen to the official beefs about 'personal misconduct,' 'disruptive influence,' you figure he's got to be up for trade. But when some rare Chicago blood starts spilling in San Francisco, they give Bullitt the mop. They weren't exactly doing him a favor. But they've done a great big one for you."; "Detective Lt. Frank Bullitt - some other kind of cop. Pity the guy he works for."; "Based on the novel 'Mute Witness' by Robert L. Pike"; about a detective who drives a 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback while pursuing professional hitmen who murdered the wrong guy and let's not forget the really cool chase scenes!) starring Steve McQueen (in the title role "as Bullitt"), Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon, Robert Duvall, Simon Oakland, and Norman Fell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Segner Gruppe 4 Important Added Info: Note that many of you viewing this poster may be wondering why in the world this image was put on a Steve McQueen movie! A collector tells us that the poster artist was supposed to draw an image of Steve McQueen, but he was supposedly told "to draw the car drivers' face", and that he mistakenly drew the face of the man who drove the rival race car! Of course, it doesn't help that the man's image has incredibly weird eyes. Those "eyes" are actually two blue gun barrels, which create one of the cooler poster images I have ever seen! Also note that this poster was never folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult! Finally, note that this East German poster measures 23" x 33". Condition: very good to fine. a series of four small tears ranging from 1/4" to 1" in the upper right of the right border (in the solid grey area below the credits. A few tiny tears and creases in the lower part of the right border and in the upper part of the left border. Other than these basically minor defects, the poster is in really nice condition and it is completely unfolded! Learn More about condition grades
