An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) No Other Woman (also released as "Man and Wife"), the 1933 J. Walter Ruben romantic love triangle rags-to-riches melodrama ("From the play 'Just a Woman' by Eugene Walter"; a wild story of a poor woman who runs a boarding house, and she marries a poor blue collar worker, but when they meet a man who invented a new kind of dye, they open a factory, and become very rich, but that causes the husband to travel a lot, and he falls for a "bad" woman, and then he and the new woman start divorce proceedings, and even try to get custody of the young child, but the mother manages to turn the tables in a stirring final courtroom scene) starring Irene Dunne, Charles Bickford, Gwili Andre, Eric Linden, Christian Rub, and J. Carol Naish. Note that Gwili Andre played the "other woman" in this movie, and she apparently did "too well", because the character was so unlikable that it pretty much ruined her career. 26 years later, Andre committed suicide by surrounding herself with press clippings and mementos of her career and setting them on fire, certainly a foolish way to pass away. There are some faint scuffs scattered in the image, but they are mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light.
