Mankiewicz (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) marital infidelity romantic melodrama ("All of them wondered... While one of them wandered!"; "...I'm running away with one of your husbands -Addie"; "Addie is the other woman all the other women will be talking about!"; "It's a Peek into the other woman's Male!"; "Produced by Sol C. Siegel"; "Adapted by Vera Caspery from a Cosmopolitan Magazine novel by John Klempner"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Jeanne Crain, Linda Darnell, Ann Sothern, Kirk Douglas (very young in this role!), Paul Douglas, Barbara Lawrence, Jeffrey Lynn, Connie Gilchrist, Florence Bates, and Hobart Cavanaugh. Note that Joseph L. Mankiewicz is the only winner of back-to-back Oscars for writing and directing (the other film was "All About Eve") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Gargiulo Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Argentinean poster, and that was 9 years ago. That example has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The entire poster had darkened and it had tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and some fine surface paper loss on the foldlines, with some small tears and smudges in the bottom horizontal fold and in the bottom quarter of the vertical foldline. The poster was backed onto a pretty thin linen with no restoration, and it was roughly handled after it was backed, so there are now some creases in the bottom right and in the top center that were caused by poor handling, and it is slightly "lifting" from the linen. If I owned this cool (and surely very rare) poster, I would have it removed from the thin linen and properly re-backed, after which it would look wonderful! Learn More about condition grades
