Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, the 1991 to 1994 two part stage play production ("Part 1: Millennium Approaches"; "Part 2: Perestroika"; written by Tony Kushner) starring Kathleen Chalfant, David Marshall Grant, Marcia Gay Harden, Ron Leibman, and Joe Mantello. The play premiered in 1991, performed by the San Francisco Eureka Theatre Company, and then made its Broadway premiere at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York City in 1993
