What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold, with small paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds, and some small tears and tiny bits of paper loss along parts of several folds. It had pinholes and tears around the edges, with considerable paper loss in the bottom right corner, entering into the girl's face, and some tiny bits of paper loss scattered in the rest of the poster. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed poster either did not do a good job restoring the girl's face at bottom right, or it acquired additional damage after it was backed. Certainly, another restorer could re-restore that area, either with or without re-backing the poster, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
