Nice, the 1965 French travel poster promoting travel to Nice, France, and featuring colorful 1950 abstract art by Henri Matisse. The poster has "PRINTED IN FRANCE - PUBLISHED BY AND FOR THE FRENCH GOVERNMENT" in the right of the bottom border, so it was obviously a travel poster printed in France and sent to U.S. travel agencies. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had a circular stain in the left of the top border, extending into the yellow background. Otherwise, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed (with excess on the top and bottom only), but the restoration of the stain is clearly noticeable.
