An Original Vintage Theatrical Style B Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Death Takes a Holiday, the 1934 Mitchell Leisen romantic afterlife fantasy melodrama ("Men feared him -- Women adored him"; adapted from the play by Alberto Casella; a very interesting story of the literal Death deciding to visit the Earth and discover why people fear him so, and while he is on Earth in human form, everyone stops dying, and of course, he falls in love, and the girl, not knowing who he is, wants to go with him when he returns to his ethereal home!) starring Fredric March (in the title role as "Death"/Prince Sirki), Evelyn Venable, Guy Standing (billed as "Sir Guy Standing"), Kent Taylor, Henry Travers, and Kathleen Howard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
