An Original Vintage Theatrical International Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) the international theatrical release of How to Steal the World, the 1968 Sutton Roley fantasy secret agent spy espionage action crime thriller ("U.N.C.L.E. agents Napoleon and Ilya in their most Thrilling Adventure!"; adapted from the TV series "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.") starring Robert Vaughn (as Napoleon Solo; best remembered from the TV series this movie was based on as well as the "Helsinki Hair Formula" infomercials), David McCallum (as Illya Kuryakin), Barry Sullivan, Eleanor Parker, Leslie Nielsen, Daniel O'Herlihy, and Leo G. Carrol. Note that Robert Vaughn and David McCallum are billed as "The Men from U.N.C.L.E.". Note that this TV series (inspired by the super popular James Bond movies) was one of the most successful ever in the history of TV, and it was SO successful that a feature film was made from the pilot episode and distributed internationally in movie theaters, and that movie did so well that an amazing seven more similar movies (compiled from different episodes) were released internationally as well! Note that this was the final compilation movie that was released theatrically. It was made from both parts of "The Seven Wonders of the World Affair", which was the two-part series finale that aired at the end of the 1968 season. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is from a set of "international" style lobby cards (meaning they were printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Somewhere in the early 1960s, MGM apparently made a huge "trade" deal with European movie distributors. From the early 1960s to the late 1960s, MGM released 100 or more non-U.S. movies in the U.S. under the MGM logo (some dating back to the 1950s), and in return, they apparently gave 100 or more MGM movies (from the 1950s and early 1960s) to those European distributors to release in Europe. All of the posters from both sets of releases have a very similar type of somewhat garish, very colorful artwork, and most have an MGM logo that is different from that on other MGM movies of the same time period. None of these posters or lobby cards (except for the very first few of them) have any dates on them. Over the years, I have seen many of these posters (from both types) sold as first release, but I believe that they are all mid to late 1960s re-releases, and that the ones from U.S. movies are "international" posters. These particular cards are from one of the movies that MGM sent for European release (and this is one of the movies that IS an MGM movie). Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
