An Original Vintage Czech Campaign Book (measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/4" [24 x 31 cm]; 68 pages) (Learn More) Paramount 1929-30, the 1929 Czechoslovakian campaign book. Paramount published a U.S. campaign book in 1929 that had full-color ads throughout. This Czechoslovakian campaign book has all two-color ads, and most of them are photographic. Clara Bow gets a full page by herself, plus another page with many small images of her, and, like many of the American actors, her name has been "Eastern European-ized" to "Claru Bowovou"! There is a full-page ad for "Beggars of Life" and a half-page for "Rolled Stockings", and Louise Brooks is pictured in both those ads! Paramount's other top stars got similar treatment to Bow and Brooks. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Czech campaign book! Not only that, but we did not even know that Czechoslovakia had enough of a film industry in the 1920s to justify getting their own campaign book, but apparently they did! Note: We have 11 images of this campaign book, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 11 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 1. Condition: very good to fine.
