An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Movie Poster (measures 39 3/8" x 55") (Learn More) An Unexpected Review, the 1911 silent military society comedy short (about soldiers who get drunk at a fancy party and cause a scene) starring John Bunny and Edward Thomas. Note that this is a VERY unusual poster from the early 1910s! In the earliest days of movie distribution, the studios temporarily hit on the idea of creating one poster for use in several European countries, and to make that work, they put the title of the movie in three different languages at the top of the poster! The languages are English, German, and French. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an extremely early movie poster! Also note that John Bunny was one of the greatest early comedy stars, and he had been a stage actor who worked for Vitagraph from 1910 until his unfortunate passing in 1915, appearing in 150 movies for them! Because he passed away so early in the development of film, virtually no posters exist from his films, and lobby cards had not even been invented at the time of his passing.
