Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Sunset Boulevard (sometimes spelled as "Sunset Blvd."), the classic 1950 Billy Wilder (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Hollywood Los Angeles California behind-the-scenes movie-making romantic love triangle crime film noir ("A most unusual picture"; "A Hollywood Story"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring William Holden (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Gloria Swanson (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Erich von Stroheim (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Nancy Olson (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Fred Clark, Lloyd Gough, Jack Webb, Cecil B. DeMille (the legendary director, playing a great cameo role as himself!), Hedda Hopper, Buster Keaton, Anna Q. Nilsson, H.B. Warner, and Franklyn Farnum. This is surely one of the finest movies ever made, with remarkable performances, writing, and direction, and if you haven't seen it, you should! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good to fine. there are two extra horizontal folds; one is 3" below the top fold and the other is 2" below the bottom fold; there are extra creases along the foldlines and slight surface paper separation along the bottom foldline (the one that goes through the top of the photographic image); there is a single pinhole in the center of the very top of the image (in the red background); there are some creases and smudges around the edge of the poster, and would appear to be three pencil marks in the bottom border; there are two tiny "bumped" areas in the bottom blank border that have tiny tears; Other than the above defects (which are relatively minor), the poster is in nice unrestored condition (there is not a piece of tape anywhere on the poster and just the single tack hole) and the colors (especially the red) are very bright. I would think most collectors would be happy with the poster as it is, or a talented restorer could certainly repair its minor defects, and make it look "perfect"! Learn More about condition grades
